GIM Background

The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) was developed in the 1970′s by music therapist Dr. Helen Bonny. It is a method of therapy in which a client explores their inner imagery while listening to specially programmed classical music in a relaxed state.

GIM is a music-centered, mind-body approach that allows one to access and explore the wisdom of the body and the unconscious. It is inspired by Client-Centered, Jungian and Transpersonal theories. GIM is an integration of music, guided imagery and mandala art for individual and group work.
